Leather Furniture
While leather furniture may not appeal to the animal lover
in you, it has many advantages for your home decor. Unlike cloth furniture
leather is easily cleaned if there is a minor spill. In addition, fine
leather furniture maintains a patina for years that if carefully cared
for will not wear away.
Should your leather furniture start to show signs of age there are
many solutions. Products are advertised on TV infomercials to make your
leather shine like new. Of course, your results will be much better
if you simply maintain your couch properly and take it to a leather
repair shop if there is a rip or tear.
Some people cannot afford genuine leather furniture, but still want
a similar looking product. Vinyl chairs and couches look like a leather
but do not have the same feel. They wear out more quickly and are less
comfortable. Furniture insiders call this material "pleather"
rather affectionately because it feels like a combination of plastic
and leather.
