Where can I find inexpensive modern furniture?
IKEA is a European-based company known for producing inexpensive contemporary furniture. Everything looks great in their showrooms, but the catch is you have to put the furniture together yourself. For most consumers it is worth the effort. We know this because IKEA has gone from a small-scale company to a global operation.
Do I need to use caution when shopping for green furniture?
Green is the new buzzword for businesses. Many are genuinely concerned about the environment and are changing the practices behind the products they sell, but others are simply trying to jump on the bandwagon to make a buck. Make sure you are not buying a product simply because of the way it's marketed; for example, if you are looking at a wooden piece of furniture checked to see whether timber was harvested.
What choices in home decor do I have for a couch?
When purchasing a couch think about how you will use it. If you plan on having overnight guests come over often then you'll want a pull away couch or a futon. However, if it's just for sitting and occupies a large part of the room treat yourself to a nice fabric or piece of leather furniture that will stand out and attract your guests to sit.
