Dining Furniture
After you have moved into your first nice apartment or
home and are ready to show off your place to guests, you need to purchase
appropriate dining furniture. While living room furniture you've collected
from your 20s may still pass muster, you'll want nicer pieces for dining
to show your new status. Dining
furniture makes a statement that you have arrived and are ready
to serve company.
The best dining furniture is free. Who isn't jealous of friends who
have inherited handmade dining room tables and chairs that have been
passed down for generations? Unfortunately, we aren't all that lucky.
If you're looking to save money, you can buy a used table and chairs
for approximately $150-$200. A new set will easily cost you upwards
of $1000. The upside of buying a used table is that if you refinished
it yourself you can sell it for $500-$1000 more than you originally
paid. Used tables can often be found at yard sales, antique stores and
estate sales.
